"Vietnam Oil & Gas Report Q3 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 25, 2011 – The latest Vietnam Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 1.38% of Asia Pacific regional oil demand by 2015, while providing 4.80% of supply. Regional oil use of 20.6mn barrels per day (b/d) in 2001 reached an estimated 26.4mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to rise to around 29.6mn b/d by 2015. Regional oil production was around 7.6mn b/d in 2001 and averaged an estimated 8.0mn b/d in 2010. It is set to increase to 8.2mn b/d by 2015. Oil imports are growing rapidly, because demand growth is outstripping the pace of supply expansion. In 2001, the region was importing an average 12.99mn b/d. This total rose to an estimated 18.37mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to reach 21.41mn b/d by 2015. The principal importers will be China, Japan, India and South Korea. By 2015 the only net exporter will be Malaysia.

----------------------------------------------------- -------Full Report Details at - http://www.fastmr.com/prod/171546_vietnam_oil_gas_report ... ------------------------------------------------------------

In terms of natural gas, in 2010 the region consumed around 511.5bn cubic metres (bcm) and demand of 653.9bcm is targeted for 2015. Production of an estimated 405.8bcm in 2010 should reach 556.7bcm in 2015, implying net imports falling from around 105.7bcm to 97.2bcm.Vietnam's estimated share of gas consumption in 2010 was an estimated 1.58%, while its share of production is put at 2.01%. By 2015, its share of gas consumption is forecast to be 2.44%, with the country accounting for 3.77% of supply.

Global GDP growth in 2011 is forecast at 3.6%, down from 4.3% in 2010. Growth in both the US and eurozone should be marginally higher than 2010, while Chinese economic expansion will slow and Japan's growth will slump to 0.7% as a result of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. Our oil price forecast for 2011 is US$98.90/bbl for the OPEC Basket, giving Brent at US$103/bbl and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) at US$92.30, although these differentials are subject to change.

Vietnamese real GDP growth in 2010 was an estimated 6.8%, with a forecast average annual 7.0% increase in 2011-2015. Exploration success has been on the rise in Vietnam, with a growing number of international oil companies (IOCs) teaming up with PetroVietnam and finding and developing hydrocarbon resources - particularly gas. We expect that oil and gas liquids production of 373,000b/d in 2010 will peak at just under 407,000b/d in 2011, before easing back to 395,000b/d by 2015. Beyo manual trash compactor nd 2010, consumption is forecast to increase by around 5-7% per annum to 2015, implying demand of 408,000b/d by the end of the forecast period. Gas production is forecast to increase from the estimated 2010 figure of 8.1bcm to 21.0bcm by 2015 - providing a basis for exports.

Between 2010 and 2020, we are forecasting a decline in Vietnamese oil production of 16.1%, Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi with crude volumes peaking at just under 407,000b/d in 2011, before slipping to 313,000b/d by 2020. Oil consumption between 2010 and 2020 is set to increase by 78.2%, with growth beyond 2009 ranging from 5-7% per annum and the country using 554,000 b/d by 2020. Gas production is expected to rise from an estimated 8.1bcm in 2010 to 24.0bcm in 2020. We see Vietnam's net gas export potential turning into modest imports by the end of the period on the back of rising demand and steady output in the period 2016-20. Details of BMI's 10-year forecasts which provide regional and country-specific projections can be found at the end of this report.

Vietnam now shares third place with China in BMI's composite Business Environment (BE) league table, which reflects largely its strong upstream position. The country holds third place, behind India, in BMI's updated upstream Business Environment ratings, with its ranking reflecting a reasonable resource position, better-than-average growth outlook, attractive licensing terms and an IOC-friendly competitive environment. There is a four-point gap between Vietnam and fourth-placed Papua New Guinea, and we believe Vietnam is safe from any near-term challenges. Vietnam shares ninth place with Pakistan in BMI's downstream Business Environment ratings, reflecting its modest (but growing) refining capacity, above-average oil and gas demand growth outlook, and low level of retail site intensity.

Exploration success has been on trash bins the rise in Vietnam, with a growing number of international oil companies (IOCs) teaming up with PetroVietnam and finding and developing hydrocarbon resources - particularly gas. We expect that oil and gas liquids production of 373,000b/d in 2010 will peak at just under 407,000b/d in 2011, before easing back to 395,000b/d by 2015. Beyond 2010, consumption is forecast to increase by around 5-7% per annum to 2015, implying demand of 408,000b/d by the end of the forecast period. Gas production is forecast to increase from the estimated 2010 figure of 8.1bcm to 21.0bcm by 2015 - providing a basis for exports.

Between 2010 and 2020, we are forecasting a decline in Vietnamese oil production of 16.1%, with crude volumes peaking at just under 407,000b/d in 2011, before slipping to 313, rc helicopter market place 000b/d by 2020.

Recently released market study: France Petrochemicals Report Q3 2011

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 22, 2011 – BMI's latest France Petrochemicals Report states that exports will feature more strongly in France's chemicals growth outlook in 2011, although European demand - which accounted for two-thirds of trade in 2010 - will lag behind.

The Union des Industries Chimiques (UIC, Chemical Industries Union) reported growth in chemical output volumes at 10.8% in 2010, compared with the contraction of 9.4% in the previous year. A 5% rise in selling prices led to a 14% increase in turnover, to EUR77.1bn, compared with a decline of 18% in 2009. The rebound saw the rebuilding of inventories and growing market demand as the economy was back on track for growth. Emerging market growth coupled with the recovery in developed markets helped sustain growth in monomers and polymers. However, labour unrest and technical-related stoppages meant that supply was tight in some production lines. Trade accounted for just 20% of France's chemical outpu Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi t growth, with exports and imports growing at a rate of 13% by volume. The industry will be looking further afield with Asia the most promising export destination, while North Africa and the Middle East will constitute a downside risk to output.

--------------------------------------------------- ---------Full Report Details at - http://www.fastmr.com/prod/171474_france_petrochemicals_ ... ------------------------------------------------------------

The French chemicals industry has consistently outperformed the European average, even during the recession, and will continue to do so in 2011, albeit at a lower growth rate of around 2.5%. Stalling consumer confidence and fiscal cuts will start to weigh on household spending, while unemployment is set to remain above pre-crisis levels, particularly among the under 25s.

Nevertheless, industry should be supportive of higher output, with the automotive industry set to grow. Despite sluggish growth domestically, it is unlikely that that French carmakers will shift much of their production overseas. Commitments given to the French government to retain production i helicop ter technology n the country - in return for timely aid during the global financial crisis, is likely to put brakes on company's plans to move production abroad. As such, BMI expects French auto production to maintain a steady growth rate of 1.7% y-o-y between 2012 and 2015, following a robust 15.8% y-o-y rise expected this year. The downside risk to this forecast however is the fact that carmakers will be more inclined to boost production overseas and gradually reduce production domestically once the state aid is repaid. Growth should still bolster PP output over the medium term. Meanwhile, the construction industry should make a solid turn around in 2011, helping to lift PVC consumption. Activity is set to grow 4.5% in 2011 and 2012, following declines of 4.4% and 4.0% in 2009 and 2010 respectively. This should return the market to normal.

France scores 71.7points in BMI's petrochemicals ratings, down 0.2 points since the previous quarter. This puts it in second place in our Western European Petrochemicals Ratings, 8.1 points behind Germany and 0.7 points ahead of Belgium. France's score has been undermined by poor long-ter garbage compactor review m financial and external ratings as well as the effects manual trash compactor of strike action on the market risk environment. The petrochemicals sector needs to overcome deterioration in external competitiveness and stagnation in domestic demand to hold on to the capacity it has and prevent closures. France's score is in danger of being eroded by capacity shut-downs in coming years, although its situation is not unique in Western Europe.

"Australia Oil & Gas Report Q3 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 21, 2011 – The latest Australia Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 3.4% of Asia Pacific regional oil demand by 2015, while providing 6.8% of supply. This total rose to an estimated 18.37mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to reach 21.3mn b/d by 2015. The principal importers will be China, Japan, India and South Korea. By 2015 the only net exporter will be Malaysia.

----------------------------------------------------- -------Full Report Details at - http://www.fastmr.com/prod/171448_australia_oil_gas_repo ... ------------------------------------------------------------

In terms of natural gas, in 2010 the region consumed around 511.5bn cubic metres (bcm) and demand of 653.9bcm is targeted for 2015. Production of an estimated 405.8bcm in 2010 should reach 556.7bcm in 2015, implying net imports falling from around 105.7bcm to 97.2bcm. Australia's share of gas consumption in 2010 was an estimated 6.2%, while its share of production is put at 12.3%. By 2015, its share of gas consumption is forecast to be 5.6%, with the country accounting for nearly 18% of supply. trash bins

Global GDP growth in 2011 is forecast at 3.6%, down from 4.3% in 2010. Growth in both the US and Eurozone should be marginally higher than last year, while Chinese economic expansion will slow and Japan's growth will slump to 0.7% as a result of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. Our oil price forecast for 2011 is US$98.90/bbl for the OPEC Basket, giving Brent at US$103/bbl and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) at Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi US$92.30, although these differentials are subject to change.

Australian real GDP increased by an estimated 2.8% in 2010. We are now predicting average annual GDP growth of 2.7% between 2010 and 2015. There is no state oil industry, but domestic and leading international companies are investing heavily in gas production and LNG exports to help offset declining oil output. We are assuming oil and gas liquids production peaking at about 620,000b/d in 2013 then falling to about 580,000b/d by 2017. Consumption is forecast to increase by about 1% per annum to 2015, implying demand of 993,000b/d by the end of the forecast period. The import requirement would therefore be about 437,000b/d by 2015.

Between 2010 and 2020, we are forecasting a decrease in Australian oil production of 28%, with crude volumes peaking in 2013 at 620,000b/d, before falling steadily to 366,840b/d by the end of the period. Oil consumption between 2010 and 2020 is set to increase by 8.3%, with growth of less than 1% per annum throughout the period and the country using 1.04mn b/d by 2020. While oil output is expected to decline, gas production is expected to rise rapidly, from an estimated 50bcm in 2010 to a possible 122bcm by 2020. Demand is also expected to rise rapidly as gas plays an increasingly important role in the overall energy picture, with 10-year demand growth expected to be 33.3%. Production growth will far outpace demand growth, however, and we see export potential rising from an estimated 18.1bcm in 2010 to nearly 80bcm by 2020, all in the form of LNG. Details of BMI's long-term oil and gas outlook can be found at the end of this report, including regional and country-specific forecasts to 2020.

Australia is still at the head of BMI's composite Business Environment (BE) league table, thanks to its leading position in the updated upstream BE rating that reflects its balance of strong gas production/exp rc helicopter market place ort potential, world-class regulatory structure and solid risk environment. However, the 16-point upstream rating gap between it and second placed India flatters Australia as it is due largely to the poorer country risk environment in India. Indeed, given the greater potential for more rapid growth in both Vietnam and India, the gap should narrow over the medium term, particularly as the country risk environment improves in both countries. Australia is further down the league table in BMI's downstream Business Environment ratings, reflecting its status as a mature, deregulated and competitive energy market with limited growth potential. It shares sixth place out of 15 with Indonesia. It could slip further down the rankings as country risk improves elsewhere in the region.About Business Monitor International

China Oil & Gas Report Q3 2011: New research report available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 19, 2011 – The latest China Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 38.8% of Asia Pacific regional oil demand by 2015, while providing 49.9% of supply. This total rose to an estimated 18.37mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to reach 21.3mn b/d by 2015. The principal importers will be China, Japan, India and South Korea. By 2015 the only net exporter will be Malaysia.

----------------------------------------------------- -------Full Report Details at - http://www.fastmr.com/prod/171461_china_oil_gas_report_q ...

China's share of gas consumption in 2010 was an estimated 19.1%, while its share of production is put at 20.6%. By 2015, its share of gas consumption is forecast to be 21.4%, with the country accounting for nearly 15.8% of supply.

Our oil price forecast for 2011 is US$98.90/bbl for the OPEC Basket, giving Brent at US$103/bbl and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) at US$92.30, although these differentials are subject to change.

Chinese real GDP growth in 2010 was an estimated 10.3%. We are forecasting average annual growth in 2010-2015 of 8.1%. While partly privatised, the oil and gas industry remains under state control, with PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC charged with maintaining domestic production. We are assuming oil and gas liquids output of no more than 4.11mn b/d by 2015, although the country is thought to have pumped 4.08mn b/d in 2010. Oil consumption is forecast to increase by around 23.2% in 2010-2015, implying demand of 11.48mn b/d by the end of the forecast period. The import requirement would therefore be about 7.36mn b/d by 2015.

Between 2010 and 2020 we are forecasting a decrease in Chinese oil production of 4.48%. Crude volumes should peak in 2014 at 4.14mn b/d, then fall steadily to 3.90mn b/d in 2020. Oil consumption between 2010 and 2020 is set to increase by 48.84%, with growth slowing to an assumed 3.0% per annum by the end of the period and the country using 13.31mn b/d by 2020. Gas production is expected to rise steadily, from an estimated 84bcm in 2010 to a possible 98bcm by 2020. With demand growth of 111.17%, this provides an import requirement rising to 108.4bcm - increasingly in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Details of BMI's 10-year forecasts can be found at the end of this report, which provides regional and country-specific projections.

China is now ranked equal third, alongside Vietnam and behind India, in BMI's composite Business Environment (BE) league table, reflecting its equal eighth place (with Indonesia) in our updated upstream Business Environment ratings. A strong resource position is countered by a less impressive regulat manual trash compactor ory structure and substantial state involvement. The risk environment is also less attractive than for some Asian peers. Over the medium to long term, China has the capability to progress further up the rankings and claim a higher slot in the upstream league table. The country shares first place with India in BMI's downstream Business Environment ratings, reflecting its status as a high-growth energy market with strongly positive population and demand trends, plus a low level of retail site intensity. It is seven points clear of third-placed Japan.

Expert Opinion Verifies Revolutionary New steel Making Process for Astra Mining

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 18, 2011 – North Headline, SA - The end product, T-Steel, is significantly stronger than regular steel and provides vast production, operational and environmental benefits.

T-Steel was used commercially to strengthen steel for non-civilian use. Astra has taken the opportunity with the devolution of the Eastern bloc countries to acquire the technology and roll it out globally.

Astra Mining CEO, Dr. Jaydeep Biswas, says the independent verification of the steel's unique properties comes from one of the University of Miskolc's leading metallurgical engineers, Professor Emeritus Dr. Farkas Otto.

"This expert opinion on a study into the preparation of the production of T-Steel confirms it has better qualities compared to traditional steels," Dr. Biswas says.

"It also confirms the CO2 emission in its manufacture can be up to two times less than with traditional steel making technologies, reducing a manufacturing plants carbon footprint which is highly beneficial to the environment.

"Astra has a substantial 30 percent ownership of T-Steel's IP and has full operational and management control of its business, so we are very excited to receive this independent verification."

T-Steel is a direct, high category replacement for the currently produced equivalent steel types and has immediate benefits in high use countri trash bins es such as China and India. It can also play a large role in countries trying to reduce C02 emissions such as Australia.

The basic product, which includes the use of unique alloy based formulas invented over a 30 year period in Hungary, is based on a process which ca garbage compactor review n modify the metallurgical properties of steel at a molecular level.

"T-Steel can be produced by existing steel mills with little or no retrofitting needed, however this can only be done if the mills have access to the T-Steel technology and the correct steel plant operation rc helicopter market place conditions," Dr. Biswas says.

"This makes T-Steel nearly impossible to replicate, as attempts to meet all necessary conditions would cost many hundreds of millions, something that would not be cost effective for individual steel manufacturing companies.

"Astra is in negotiations for a long term co-operation agreement with one the world's largest steel traders for the DAM Steel Works in Hungary which will produce 500,000 tonnes per annum of T-Steel annually.

"The acquisition of DAM Steel plant is not a pre-requisite for rollout for the T-Seel technology, it is one part of a comprehensive business plan, however the relationship would position Astra ideally to capitalise on its strategic growth plan and market T-Steel products worldwide."

The viability of the T-Steel technology has been verified by extensive independent reporting and the technology is commercially viable due to its strong record of commercial applications, including areas in construction, automotive and machinery.

Companies that have already utilised T-Steel technology in the past include those in vehicle manufacturing and industrial applications.

"A Top 4 accounting firm completed the financial model for the valuation of T-Steel, which is based on a single manufacturing mill producing 500,000 tonnes of steel per annum and a separate business unit distributing the alloy-based formula globally," Dr. Biswas says.

"It is estimated that the project of global commercialisation of T-Steel technology has a NPV over A$6.12 billion, assuming the level of risk is in line with industry average.

"Based on the 30 percent IP ownership, Astra's share is extremely valuable to our company."

Astra Mining's global portfolio includes 1086274749  gold and tin interests in south east Asia and southern India, coal mines in A helicop ter technology ustralia, iron ore in India, and the production of a new high-strength steel technology.

Astra has also confirmed its plans to list on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange before the end of August.
